Audio Engineering
Alexander VanWoert is a freelance recording and mix engineer. He has engineered and mixed artists of all genres including; afrobeat, R&B, hip-hop, neo-soul, funk, indie rock, metalcore, jazz, fusion, singer-songwriter, traditional, folk, classic rock, and country.
Alexander currently is a freelance engineer at Bias Studios in Springfield, Virginia. He has also served as assistant engineered to high profile clients such as, Roger Waters, Nils Lofgren, Tom Paxton, and John McCutcheon.
Education & Teaching
VanWoert graduated from Penn State Behrend with a bachelor’s in digital arts & technologies and a minor in music technologies. He went on to complete his master’s at American University in audio technologies.
During his time at American University, Alexander was a teaching assistant for Sound Studio Techniques I for two semesters and Sound Studio Techniques II for one semester. He now teaches one-on-one, private lessons at Bias Studios and will be teaching Digital Audio Workstations I at American University during the Fall 2023 semester.
